A quick note for those that don't know what Indians fantasy camp is. It is one week where old farts get to act like they are in the major leagues participating in training camp. Each camper is outfitted with two jerseys, turtlenecks, hat, pants, socks, belt, and a custom wooden bat. At the end of camp each one will receive 100 baseball cards and a highlight DVD. I'm taking bids for these collector cards that will be available after camp. Bids will be accepted until midnight February 29, 2009.
We will have tryouts and then be placed on teams. There is a total of 10 teams that will play in two different divisions with the top teams in each division playing for the camp championship. Each team is coached by two retired Indians players. We will also play one game against the retired pros during the week.
The blog name: Indians O-fer, came from some of my fans (family) thinking that I'll bat, 0 for 20 during my time at camp. I guess I will have to prove them wrong.
